Our Specialized Oncology Units
At Ruber Internacional, we provide the most advanced diagnostic methods and the most effective treatments for breast cancer.
We are pioneers in advanced genetic analyses that allow us to deeply understand each type of tumor and deliver specific treatments.
Our approach focuses on two fundamental aspects: early diagnosis and personalized treatment.
We have a highly qualified multidisciplinary team that includes oncologists, breast surgeons, pathologists, radiotherapists, specialists in radiology and nuclear medicine, as well as nursing staff.
Our rapid diagnostic circuit streamlines the process for conducting mammograms and examinations, enabling us to obtain precise results in the shortest possible time to confirm or rule out the presence of tumors.
When breast cancer is detected in its early stages, surgery to remove the tumor while preserving the breast is often a successful option in two-thirds of patients.
We work closely with leading plastic surgeons and specialists in breast-conserving and reconstructive surgery, achieving excellent aesthetic outcomes that not only restore breast shape and function but also positively contribute to the emotional well-being and self-esteem of our patients.
In addition to surgery, we complement treatment based on the tumor type with chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and/or targeted pharmacological treatments aimed at tumor cells.
Recent Advances in Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment:
Advances in Breast Cancer Diagnosis
- Liquid Biopsies
Similar to lung cancer, liquid biopsies are being used in breast cancer to detect circulating tumor DNA in the blood, providing information about the presence and characteristics of cancer.
- Digital and 3D Mammography
These advanced imaging technologies are increasingly used for the early and accurate detection of breast cancer.
- Genomics and Gene Expression Analysis
Genomic studies and gene expression analyses help classify breast cancer subtypes and guide the selection of the most appropriate treatment.
Advances in Breast Cancer Treatment
- Targeted Therapies
Targeted therapies have been developed and approved to focus on specific receptors in cancer cells, such as HER2, offering more effective treatment options for certain breast cancer subtypes.
- Immunotherapy
As in other types of cancer, immunotherapy is being explored in breast cancer to stimulate the immune system to attack cancer cells.
- Combination Therapy
Combinations of targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy are being studied and applied to address treatment resistance and improve patient outcomes.
- Improved Breast-Conserving Surgery
Advancements in surgical techniques and breast preservation approaches have been made to achieve better aesthetic and functional outcomes.
- Precision Radiotherapy
As in lung cancer, precision radiotherapy techniques are used in breast cancer to deliver targeted radiation doses to the tumor while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.
The Most Advanced Technology for Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment.
The Gynecological Tumor Unit at Hospital Ruber Internacional is equipped with the most advanced diagnostic methods and effective treatments to address various gynecological tumors, including cancers of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, and vulva. Its team of highly qualified medical oncologists works closely with gynecologists to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
Our priority is the early diagnosis and precise monitoring of these conditions, leveraging cutting-edge technology. We perform advanced imaging tests, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and specialized ultrasounds, which allow us to detect tumors at their earliest stages. Additionally, we utilize minimally invasive procedures and high-precision biopsies to confirm diagnoses.
The Gynecological Tumor Unit provides comprehensive and personalized care to patients, delivering state-of-the-art medical treatments.
At Hospital Ruber Internacional, we offer advanced diagnostic and treatment procedures for lung cancer, emphasizing early detection and personalized therapy.
Our rapid diagnostic approach includes chest X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans to obtain detailed information about abnormal lung cells. Additionally, we perform biopsies and genetic analyses to confirm the diagnosis and determine the exact type of cancer.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed, our team of experts designs individualized treatment plans based on the specific characteristics of each tumor and its extent. Treatments may be curative or palliative, depending on each patient’s situation.
For localized cases, we perform surgeries to remove the tumor. In some cases, we complement these with chemotherapy and radiotherapy to ensure the eradication of cancer cells. Patient progress is closely monitored through regular medical check-ups.
In advanced cases, we focus on chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and we also provide targeted pharmacological treatments tailored to the cancer’s molecular characteristics.
Recent Advances in Lung Cancer Treatment:
