Treatments Backed by Scientific Rigor
We utilize the most advanced technologies to ensure precision and safety in your diagnosis and treatment:
- We employ the most modern digital dermoscopy system available to detect skin cancer at an early stage. This system uses an optical device with artificial intelligence to monitor even the slightest changes in skin lesions. For isolated lesions, we rely on additional globally recognized skin documentation systems that help us explore the skin and detect any anomalies through their high-resolution imaging.
- To remove skin cancer, we use the most precise surgery: Mohs surgery. This technique involves removing thin layers of skin, which are analyzed sequentially until all malignant tissue is removed. Our recurrence rate is below 1%, and this technique sacrifices the least amount of healthy tissue, leaving the smallest possible aesthetic mark. Over 25 years ago, our team performed the first Mohs surgery in Spain.
- We apply the Excimer laser, an effective solution for treating vitiligo, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. Additionally, we have a phototherapy booth, which involves the application of ultraviolet radiation over the entire body for therapeutic purposes.
- To address all types of skin spots, we offer a wide variety of dermatological lasers, including Pulsed Dye, Short Pulse, Nd:YAG, and Intense Pulsed Light.
- We are experts in scar treatment, with acne scars being the most common type we encounter. These are typically treated using techniques that resurface the skin, such as CO2 lasers, fractional erbium lasers, or thermomechanics. These methods are sometimes combined with hyaluronic acid injections to even out the skin's texture.
- In body aesthetic medicine, we work with the only FDA-approved medical cryolipolysis system, which uses controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells exclusively.
- We use an advanced FDA-approved microwave system to permanently eliminate excessive underarm sweating and body odor. This method reduces hyperhidrosis and bromhidrosis by 85%.
- We apply cutting-edge techniques in dermatological peels and deep cleanings, suitable for hyperpigmented skin, irregular textures, or skin prone to oiliness, seborrhea, or acne.
- We have extensive experience in preventing premature skin aging through powerful facial rejuvenation protocols, including liquid facelifts and devices based on synchronized radiofrequency, focused ultrasound, or facial radiofrequency.

Skin cancer is a disease in which malignant cells form in the skin tissues. These malignant cells can grow and multiply uncontrollably, potentially leading to tumors or cancerous lesions on the skin. There are several types of skin cancer, but the most common are basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma.
Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are the most frequent types and tend to grow locally without spreading to other parts of the body in most cases. Melanoma, on the other hand, originates in melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin. It is more aggressive and can be more dangerous than other types of skin cancer because it has a higher capacity to spread to other parts of the body through the blood or lymphatic system.
Early Diagnosis
Early diagnosis is crucial for the successful treatment of skin cancer. At our Service, we are pioneers in the use of digital dermoscopy and mole mapping for skin cancer prevention. This advanced technology allows us to examine the skin with unprecedented detail, identify potential suspicious lesions, and maintain a meticulous record of mole evolution over time. By doing so, we can detect any changes or abnormalities at an early stage, enabling timely intervention and providing our patients with comprehensive and effective protection against skin cancer.
Mohs Surgery
Mohs micrographic surgery, or Mohs surgery, is a highly efficient technique for treating skin cancer. This method involves the stepwise removal of affected tissue layers, with real-time microscopic evaluation of each excised layer. It allows precise identification of areas where cancer cells remain, guiding the surgeon to remove only the affected tissue while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue. By avoiding unnecessary removal of healthy tissue, this technique achieves optimal healing and improved aesthetic outcomes. This is particularly important in facial and other visible areas where excessive scarring could significantly impact the patient's appearance, such as the nose, eyelids, lips, fingers, and genital areas, where tissue preservation is essential.
The high cure rate and preservation of healthy tissue during Mohs surgery make it a preferred option for many patients seeking effective skin cancer treatment without compromising the aesthetic appearance of their skin.
We are pioneers in Madrid in the implementation of Mohs surgery, having performed the first case in the capital in 1995. Since then, we have continued to lead in this technique, completing over 1,200 interventions with a cure rate close to 100%.
Preventive Measures
Excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun is one of the primary risk factors for developing skin cancer. Therefore, proper protection against sun rays and the early detection of any suspicious lesions are fundamental to preventing and effectively treating skin cancer. When detected early, skin cancer has high cure rates, making awareness and the adoption of preventive measures essential to maintaining healthy, protected skin.

Their experience and dedication ensure that our patients receive excellent care and achieve satisfying results.
Our plastic surgeons specialize in a wide range of procedures addressing various aesthetic concerns in different parts of the body, including:
- Liposuction and Liposculpture: Liposuction is a technique to remove excess localized fat in various areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, and arms. Liposculpture, on the other hand, focuses on sculpting and shaping the body by removing fat and enhancing certain areas.
- Blepharoplasty: This eyelid surgery is designed to remove excess skin and fat around the eyes, improving the appearance of bags and dark circles and providing a more rejuvenated look.

Safety and Satisfaction in Plastic Surgery.
Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is a medical condition characterized by increased and uncontrollable sweating that exceeds what is necessary to regulate body temperature. It can affect various parts of the body, such as the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, underarms, face, head, and other areas. This condition can significantly impact an individual's quality of life, affecting daily activities and social relationships.
Treatments for excessive sweating include:
- Antiperspirants with aluminum salts: These temporarily block sweat glands.
- Controlled current treatments: Designed to reduce sweating.
- Injections of medications: These reduce the activity of sweat glands.
- Microwave treatments: Permanently eliminate sweat glands.
- Transthoracic sympathectomy: A surgical procedure that removes nerves to reduce sweating.
At our service, we are pioneers in Spain in introducing microwave technology for treating hyperhidrosis. This non-invasive technique uses electromagnetic waves to heat and destroy sweat glands responsible for excessive sweating in the underarms. The procedure is quick and safe, performed under local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort. Results are permanent and can become noticeable within a few weeks after treatment. This is an attractive option for those seeking an effective and long-lasting solution without surgery.
In our service, we provide specialized and compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents with any skin issues. Our expert dermatologists have a special vocation for working with children and offer medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of skin conditions.
Some of the main conditions we treat in our unit include:
- Atopic Dermatitis
A chronic skin condition that primarily affects infants and young children, characterized by dry, red, and itchy skin.
- Acne
A common condition in adolescents that causes pimples, blackheads, and cysts to form on the skin.
- Warts
Skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) that are common in children and can appear on various parts of the body.
- Molluscum Contagiosum
Another viral skin infection that causes small, flesh-colored bumps and can spread from person to person.
- Atypical Moles
Certain moles that may require careful evaluation due to unusual shape, size, or color.
- Hemangiomas
Benign vascular tumors that often appear on the skin and usually disappear over time, though some cases require treatment. Laser technology is currently the best option for treating this condition. With this technology, dilated capillaries can be selectively coagulated without damaging the surrounding skin. The laser works precisely and effectively, reducing the appearance of vascular lesions such as varicose veins or spider veins.
Our service offers a space designed to enhance the experience for both parents and children, providing a welcoming and friendly environment to make visits more comfortable and pleasant.
